Beard Transplant

Beard and mustache transplantation is a procedure aimed at individuals who have experienced beard or mustache loss or have not been able to grow a beard. Beards and mustaches are an important part of men's appearance, similar to hair. This method is recommended for men who have experienced beard or mustache loss due to testosterone hormone or have a patchy or irregular appearance in a specific area but like the bearded look. By undergoing a beard transplant operation, you can regain the desired bearded appearance.

DHI Beard and Mustache Transplantation

In beard transplant, the DHI method is used similar to hair transplantation. Hair follicles are individually taken from the hairy area between the two ears at the back of the head and implanted into the area where there is no beard with the help of an implanter. The operation is performed under local anesthesia, and no significant pain or discomfort is observed during or after the operation. There is no scar or stitch mark in the postoperative period.

Stages of Beard and Mustache Transplantation:

Consultation: As with all transplant operations, the transplantation process begins with a doctor's examination. During this examination, two important points are taken into consideration. First, the needs of the desired transplantation area are determined, and second, the number of grafts that can be taken from the donor area is evaluated.

Operation: During the operation, the direction of beard growth is taken into consideration, and the transplantation is performed accordingly. The operation consists of two main parts. First, hair follicles are taken from the donor area, and then hair follicles are transplanted into the area where they are needed. Hair follicles taken from the area between the two ears at the back of the head, which is expressed as the donor area, are transplanted one by one to the desired areas using the FUE technique applied by Dr. Serkan Aygın.

Dressing and PRP: Dressing and PRP treatment are applied on the day after the operation. Before leaving the clinic, instructions on how to take care of the transplanted area and how to wash it will be provided.

Who is a Candidate for Beard and Mustache Transplantation? Individuals who experience beard or mustache loss due to testosterone or have patchy or irregular beards and have sufficient donor hair can undergo beard and/or mustache transplantation.

Results and Recovery: The transplanted area returns to its natural appearance after 1 week. The healing process and the restoration of the previous appearance of the donor area take place within 15 days. After beard or mustache transplantation, you can follow the instructions for hair transplantation. The transplanted beard or mustache begins to reach the desired result after 6 months. The final result can be seen within 12-18 months.
